Susan Sneider
Susan Sneider is an internationally recognized consultant specializing in the legal and financial services sectors.
She is the acclaimed author of the American Bar Association's best-seller, The Lawyer's Guide to Networking, and one of the contributors to the influential West/ACC 6-Volume Treatise, Partnering Between Inside and Outside Counsel.
Ms. Sneider’s diverse clientele includes Fortune 500 companies, AmLaw 100 organizations, prestigious law firms in the United Kingdom and Canada, government agencies, financial service organizations, trade associations, nonprofit organizations, law schools, and legal vendors. She provides executive coaching and consulting services to CEOs, General Counsel , Managing Partners, Executive Directors, marketing and business development professionals, and law school deans.
Her professional experience includes serving as General Counsel for Turtle Wax, Inc., and as the Director of Client and Business Development for the Chicago-based law firm Freeborn and Peters. Ms. Sneider is a former senior consultant at Hildebrandt International, and has taught legal and technical writing at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. She practiced complex civil litigation and transactional law.
For over twenty years, Ms. Sneider has been a featured presenter at conferences for the ABA, ACC, TMA, NAWL, and ALA, addressing topics on management, business development, leadership, and networking. Her significant speaking engagements include the Lawyer’s Conferences and European Legal Summits held in Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Lisbon, and Rome from 1999 to 2009, where she discussed becoming a trusted advisor, enhancing the role of the legal department, networking strategies, and strategic planning. She has also been featured in The Lawyer’s Masterclass series in London and the LexisNexis UK Professional Education series on profitable business strategies for law firms.
Additionally, Ms. Sneider served as the Teaming Coach for the innovative LawWithoutWalls program, where she has spoken at its kickoff events in Dublin, St. Gallen, Madrid, and Harvard Law School, as well as judging at its ConPosiums in Miami. She collaborated with numerous global business and law students and their academic and professional mentors, focusing on emotional intelligence, leadership, and teamwork.
Ms. Sneider graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Brandeis University and earned her JD from Boston College Law School. Currently she is a member of the advisory board of ReadySet GC, an organization devoted to the success of women General Counsel in their foundational years.
Susan previously served on the advisory boards for the Medical University of South Carolina’s Neuroscience and Neurosurgery Departments and Chicago-based Literature For All of Us.
